Nationally the Elks and the Elks National Foundation have distributed over $3 billion in cash, goods and services to the nation’s youth, its veterans, the disadvantaged and physically challenged, and in support of patriotic and civic programs.
Each year, the B.P.O. Elks proudly provides tens of millions of dollars in aid programs for College Scholarships, Drug Awareness, Youth Activities such as the Hoop Shoot Competition, and assistance to America’s veterans of all wars. Additionally, through state and local programs Elks provide assistance to the specific needs of our fellow citizens.
Right here in Washington, since 1954, the Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children has provided in-home therapy to thousands of children across the state through specially equipped Elks mobile vehicles at no cost to the families.
When government agencies and insurance providers have said "no," the Washington Elks have said "yes."
The Washington State Elks Therapy Program is the reason that kids like Haley and Charlie have new hope for independence and a healthy, brighter future. The non-profit program employs licensed physical and occupational therapists who are dedicated to their profession and who are especially adapted to pediatric therapy.
Yes, Elks are living our creed- Elks Care, Elks Share.
But as a member of the Elks you’ll find it’s not just about giving back to the community.
Although Lodges differ in their facilities and amenities…whether it’s indoor and outdoor sports activities, entertainment, billiards, barbeques, dining, and dancing…every Lodge member shares the camaraderie and commitment to country that is synonymous with being an Elk.
